The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree with a major in sociology, public administration, or related field; plus two years of experience in program administration or related area.

Overall Purpose/Job Objective:
The HEI Program Coordinator/Coordinator for Residence Education (CRE) role is an integral component to the success of the Residence Education area for University Housing. The Coordinator for Residence Education is responsible for creating a community where academics, diversity, and community involvement is honored. He/she facilitates an environment within the residence hall that contributes to the development of students and staff academically, intellectually, socially, physically, and culturally. Additionally, the CRE provides leadership for the day to day management of the hall or complex to create a safe, clean and comfortable environment for students and staff. The CRE articulates to students the philosophy and policies of University Housing, the Division of Student Affairs, and the University, while representing and presenting the needs of the students to the administration. The CRE role is one of leadership, trust and honor, and contributes significantly to the personal growth and development of his/her staff members and hall residents.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling or directly related field of study
Experience with community living, and leadership development
