The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus one year of specialized training in business management, business education, or a related field; plus three years of experience in specialized or a related field applicable to work performed.

Overall Purpose/Job Objective:
The Administrative Assistant for the Department of Architecture is the first point of contact for the architecture department. The position provides administrative support for the architecture department head, faculty, department guests, and students. Duties to include travel arrangements, managing expense accounts, correspondence, purchasing, BASIS transactions, reports, and writing and distributing meeting minutes. This position is responsible for the architecture department head's calendar. This position will act as a departmental liaison with other campus departments, campus administrative units, and the off campus community.
