B.S. degree in Human Environmental Sciences with an emphasis in Child Development, or a comparable degree such as B.S. degree in Early Childhood Education, or A.A. degree in child development

Overall Purpose/Job Objective:
The assistant infant-toddler teacher, under the immediate supervision of the lead teacher and the coordinating teacher, will join the lead teacher in designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for the ages and stages of the children between the ages of newborn and 3 years. This emergent curriculum, based on best practice, will ensure the acceptance of the value of all children and families and maintain program-adopted assessment practices. The assistant teacher will also model for and mentor undergraduate students and work study students.
