The ideal candidate will have experience in metal finishing, including surface preparation, sandblasting, polishing, and other techniques used in the metal fabrication industry.
The Metal Finish Technician will work on a variety of projects, including custom metal fabrication for commercial and industrial applications.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for finishing by grinding, sanding, sandblasting, degreasing, or other methods Apply finishes to metal surfaces using various techniques, such as orbital sanding, grain-setting, and general scratch removal Perform polishing and buffing operations to produce a smooth and shiny finish on metal surfaces Use hand and power tools to complete finishing tasks, such as grinders, sanders, and buffers Inspect finished products for defects and make necessary corrections Maintain equipment and supplies, including keeping a clean and organized workspace Work with the metal fabrication team to ensure timely completion of projects
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent 3
years of experience in metal finishing or related field Knowledge of metal finishing techniques, including sandblasting, grinding, and finish sanding Familiarity with metal fabrication equipment and tools Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others effectively Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment If you meet the qualifications and are interested in this position, please submit your resume and cover letter for consideration.
