Key responsibilities of this role include Reviewing and evaluating developed x-rays, video tape, or computer-generated information to determine if images are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes Operating and overseeing operation of radiologic or magnetic imaging equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes Using radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of patients and staff Positioning imaging equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance, according to specification of examination Explaining procedures and observing patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan Key qualifications to be considered for this include Associate's degree from an accredited program and registration as a technologist by the A.
