The Bus has been converted into the home's full-size kitchen, dining, and laundry area, and features a small sleeping loft that can fit a twin-full size mattress. The second level of the home is accessible through the bus, utilizing a shipman's ladder, or from the exterior with a full-size staircase. The second level of the home features a living room with ample storage, built-in desk space, and views of the forest canopy. Skylights and an abundance of windows flood the space with natural light that sets the whole place glowing at sunset. The bathroom features a claw-foot soaking tub for relaxing while taking in the lush canopy that surrounds the home. The primary sleeping area is accessible by a spiraling compact staircase leading to a sleeping loft with a queen-sized bed. Please note that the ceiling height of the loft is just 54" on the high side and 24" on the low side, you can not stand up in the loft and the loft is NOT suitable for unaccompanied small children. There are six other homes/families spread throughout the 100-acre woods. This is family land and most of the people who live here are family. The home has both electric heat (mini-split) and gas heat as a backup in case of a power outage in the winter. There is high-speed internet provided by OzarksGo. There is a large pond that is good for fishing, a beautiful walking path that will take you to the west fork of the white river, and plenty of space for gardening. PLEASE READ!! You will have to pass by two old/run-down trailer homes to get to this house. They are not visible from inside The Bus House but you will have to pass them on the driveway and they are close by. One trailer is not occupied and will be demolished soon, the other has a kind and quiet individual who lives there though it is very unlikely that you would interact much with this person. There is a gravel driveway. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: We would love to rent this space to a family, we have a five-year-old who would be so excited to have a friend close by! Additionally, we as a household value anti-patriarchal, pro-queer, anti-racist & socially conscious beliefs.
